Contractors

Why is it sometimes you get a GREAT contractor and other make you want to pull out your hair? Our AC recently (or not so recently) went out (Aug 29 to be exact) We have 2 units so it didn't send us to a hotel or hotel parents :) We had it looked at and sure enough we needed a new one (or that's what we heard the contractor say) We still have our home warranty so we were going through them (side note we've had REALLY good luck with our warranty up to this point) So after back and forth we learn it's just a part that's getting replace but when it came in it was the WRONG part so now we are getting a NEW unit for our "troubles". Last week we were suppose to get this so call NEW unit and last Thursday I got a call from our contractor say "the unit has a big dent in it and they were going to have a to order another one" ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? So here we are over 45 days later with NO AC!! Luckly it's been cold. The rain is the what the contactor is "saying" the delay is. Funny thing about the rain is on Sept 11 when all the rain started we had a roof leaked which mess up not only the roof but the ceiling and hard wood floors. In a matter of 2.5 weeks we had our insurance check, and ALL the work done (which involved 4 contractors plus insurance) go figure. I'm glad I'm a pretty laid back person through all of this and that's it's not 100 degrees out.
