Liam the builder

We bought a new storage unit for our upstairs (or as Liam knows it his playroom). Chase decided to put it together yesterday and Liam wanted to help. It was so cute to watch Liam really try to do everything

A break was needed half way through

Notice all the work had to be done with blankie and paci at all times.

Father son love

While I was going through my pictures I came across this picture of Chase and Liam. I was trying to get some pictures of Liam and Chase was helping me out making sure he didn't fall. I didn't realize at the time that I caught this picture. You can see the love in both of their eyes....so sweet.

North Carolina part 2

While we were there we tried to get some pictures of everybody

North Carolina part 1

The beginning of Aug the Ezell family all meet up in the mountains of North Carolina for at break from the heat. We had alot of fun hiking and spending time with the family. Liam took his first "real" steps while we were there. (I'm going to go with just a bunch of pictures of this post)

13 months!

Liam's 1st Ranger's game

For father's day Liam and I got Chase Ranger's tickets. He was really looking forward to taking Liam to his first Ranger's game. The game was July 23rd and at 7pm so we didn't know how he would do. We figured he would last 2-3 endings....with the time and heat but he surprised us and was going strong in the 7th ending when we decided not to press our luck so we left. We had alot of fun and Liam even got a "first game certificate"
Oh by the way Rangers won!!!

4th of July

We decided to make the drive to New Orleans for 4th of July to spend with the Drake's. I have to say Liam did great in the car. The drive there was over 9 hours because of traffic and construction. It's amazing how long food and DVDs can keep a kid entertained. Somehow I didn't get many pictures :( WE had a lot of fun going out on the boat and reliving our rock band days (have to say it's a little different when you have 3 kids that want to play too) Here's the link to Stacy blog about our stay (again she didn't get many pictures either)

Easter

Holidays are really starting to get fun with Liam. Christmas he was still little and didn't care about it. This was the first time he seemed to realize he was getting something. Easter morning we woke up and Liam checked out what the Easter bunny left him. He was pretty excited about it. I made our traditional holiday breakfast of pigs in a blanket - which Liam seemed to like. We got dress and headed to church. We spent the afternoon at my parents - but I didn't seem to get one picture of us there. Overall it was a great day!

(I loved his pouty face in the picture)

Bapitism

It's a amazing how fast time goes by. I had been trying to plan Liam's Bapitism for months but there was always something in the way. After over 6 months of trying I finally got it schedule for April 17 - Palm Sunday. I had such a dilemma on what I was going to have him wear (such a mom thing) Now that he was almost 10 months old I felt the traditionally white romper would look silly on him (plus not my style). After searching I finally decided on khaki pants and a baby blue polo that I had monogram. I order his outfit and had it for a few week when I decided to have him try it on a week before. BOY AM I GLAD I DID. The pants were way to big on him. It was too late to get a new size since i ordered it online so off we went to find him pants. Thankfully I go the LAST pair at Gymboree.

The morning of his Baptism I starting wondering what was I thinking waiting this long. He's a boy on the go and I wasn't sure if he would be up to other people holding him and putting water on him. But he did GREAT!!!! It as so nice to have so many family members that love him come out and celebrate the big day.

Where have I been...

Well in the last month Liam has decided to seriously crawl EVERYWHERE, pull up, walk along furniture, climb the stair and try to climb out of his crib, so needless to say I have to keep my eye on him and not my blog. This stage is so much fun but I always have to be on my toes. The days on putting him in his jumper or exersaucer and relaxing are gone.
See keeping us on our toes

At the beginning on April school told me that he was probably ready to eat "school" lunches. Well now he wants NOTHING to do with baby food. So my new challenge is thinking what to feed him. He'll eat anything you give me but with only 2 (almost 3) teeth I have to be some what care full.
school lunch
**he ate the whole thing**

April also brought Chase and I to our 8 year anniversary. We made it passed the "7 year itch" and we're happier then ever (ok I'm happier.....guess I shouldn't speak for other people:)) This year on our anniversary we both took the day off and went to lunch, the movies and dinner (KID FREE). It was a great relaxing day.

This stage as also brought out his personality. He's a ham, flirt and loves to talk!

Teeth

Liam was born with so called "teeth". He had a bump on his lower gum and after going to a specialist we learn it was teeth.
He was going to have 3 set of bottom teeth (newborn...which may just dissolve, baby and adult teeth) By 2 months there was no evidence that the "newborn teeth" were there. They never broke through but just dissolve.

(You can see the bump on the bottom in this picture -it's the only picture I have you can see it....I know it's not a great picture)

After we learn the "newborn teeth" were gone
we figured it would be awhile until he got teeth (I didn't get any until I was a year) Right at 3 months we noticed all the signs of teething. Which by the way is not fun at that age - they're too young t
o hold teething rings or anything. Well sure enough on Oct 16th two little teeth popped out (interesting they popped out on my birthday). He's now 8 months with the same 2 little teeth and that's it.

(I know not a great picture but it's the only picture you're able to see the teeth on that day)

Snow

This past January and February we had many snow days.....(which doesn't happen in Texas much) In fact one kept us at home for 4 days. School was closed so we just spent alot of family time together. The first time it snow I got the guilt trip from
everybody that I had to take Liam out for his "first snow" (everybody knows I HATE the cold)

Well it appears my son feels the same way.....I'm so proud of him

Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was alot of fun. It's very different with a kid....I can only imagine what it will be like we he's into gifts. We went to 4pm Christmas Eve service (that was a first....never been before 8pm) Then headed to the Ezell for Christmas Eve dinner. We had alot of fun eating and
opening gifts.

Christmas morning we woke open at our house and open
gifts. Liam had no idea what to think of it all. He seemed to enjoy his stocking.

Finally we spent Christmas afternoon at my parents house.

New Orleans

This past fall Chase's college roommate and family (also our good friends) moved to Covington just north of New Orleans. We have always loved New Orleans so we were very excited that they moved there (not that we didn't enjoy visiting them in Beaumont :) ). We took the opportunity to visit them right away. We know this was the perfect "first trip/plane ride" for Liam. Liam did a great job on the plane ride there. He fell asleep within minutes in air and slept the whole time. We had a wonderful time hanging out together. It's crazy how life how changed since kids (oh wait we always just hung out and sang some "dancing on the ceiling").

On Friday we loaded up the kids (4 adults and 3 kids in carseats is a lot of people in 1 car) and headed to the new Orleans aquarium.

Liam was in awe of the fish everywhere.

On Saturday we enjoy seeing Covington. We learned there once was an Ezell family.

Covington had a cute "downtown" area. We did learn shopping with 3 kids and 1 double stroller is difficult with little boutiques that we there

The locals we're all about their Saints

We had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back!
