Teeth

Liam was born with so called "teeth". He had a bump on his lower gum and after going to a specialist we learn it was teeth.
He was going to have 3 set of bottom teeth (newborn...which may just dissolve, baby and adult teeth) By 2 months there was no evidence that the "newborn teeth" were there. They never broke through but just dissolve.

(You can see the bump on the bottom in this picture -it's the only picture I have you can see it....I know it's not a great picture)

After we learn the "newborn teeth" were gone
we figured it would be awhile until he got teeth (I didn't get any until I was a year) Right at 3 months we noticed all the signs of teething. Which by the way is not fun at that age - they're too young t
o hold teething rings or anything. Well sure enough on Oct 16th two little teeth popped out (interesting they popped out on my birthday). He's now 8 months with the same 2 little teeth and that's it.

(I know not a great picture but it's the only picture you're able to see the teeth on that day)

Snow

This past January and February we had many snow days.....(which doesn't happen in Texas much) In fact one kept us at home for 4 days. School was closed so we just spent alot of family time together. The first time it snow I got the guilt trip from
everybody that I had to take Liam out for his "first snow" (everybody knows I HATE the cold)

Well it appears my son feels the same way.....I'm so proud of him

Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was alot of fun. It's very different with a kid....I can only imagine what it will be like we he's into gifts. We went to 4pm Christmas Eve service (that was a first....never been before 8pm) Then headed to the Ezell for Christmas Eve dinner. We had alot of fun eating and
opening gifts.

Christmas morning we woke open at our house and open
gifts. Liam had no idea what to think of it all. He seemed to enjoy his stocking.

Finally we spent Christmas afternoon at my parents house.

New Orleans

This past fall Chase's college roommate and family (also our good friends) moved to Covington just north of New Orleans. We have always loved New Orleans so we were very excited that they moved there (not that we didn't enjoy visiting them in Beaumont :) ). We took the opportunity to visit them right away. We know this was the perfect "first trip/plane ride" for Liam. Liam did a great job on the plane ride there. He fell asleep within minutes in air and slept the whole time. We had a wonderful time hanging out together. It's crazy how life how changed since kids (oh wait we always just hung out and sang some "dancing on the ceiling").

On Friday we loaded up the kids (4 adults and 3 kids in carseats is a lot of people in 1 car) and headed to the new Orleans aquarium.

Liam was in awe of the fish everywhere.

On Saturday we enjoy seeing Covington. We learned there once was an Ezell family.

Covington had a cute "downtown" area. We did learn shopping with 3 kids and 1 double stroller is difficult with little boutiques that we there

The locals we're all about their Saints

We had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back!

Watch Liam grow

Since I'm alittle behind oh the first 7 months of Liam's life I thought I would let you see how he's grown. I promise (promising maybe to strong.....I will try) to keep this up to date going forward.

Texas Tech

I was looking back at pictures of Liam and I realize that I maybe be brain washing my kid. He can choose any (ok almost any) college he wants but I'm thinking we're slowly letting him know what college he SHOULD go to :) I will say in his 7 months he's worn more Tech stuff then myself. It's good thing red looks good on him.

Halloween 2010

Liam's first Halloween brought lots of fun. He had his 4 month check up on the Thursday before Halloween (Halloween was on a Sunday). He did great with all the shots! Friday he had his school Halloween party. He was a Texas Tech football player. I got a call from school that Liam was running a low fever. Since he had shots the day before we chalked it up to the shots that cause the fever. I run up to school gave him some med and snap this cute picture of him playing in his costume. Saturday he was still not feeling great but we were still just thinking it was the shots.Well Sunday aka Halloween we learned it was not the shots.....he had a stomach bug. It was the first "my baby is sick" Thankfully Chase agreed to stay home with him on Monday. By that evening he was doing better :) Well apparently he had decided that mom would be the one that he passed the sickness onto not dad who was around him more. I have to say it was a long night. Needless to say we didn't get the "cute" first Halloween pictures. I took some a couple weeks later

Liam's Birth

LIAM PARKER EZELL
Liam was due June 21, 2010 2 days after
Blake and Allison's wedding. My goal was to make it to the wedding after that he could come whenever. Well Liam appear to be in no rush. After no signs of him coming but just getting bigger we decided to do an induction. I had a hard timewith this decision as I want him to come when he was ready but I was another a week over due and they were thinking hewas getting big.
On June 28, 2010 we went to the hospital at 7:30am. I don't remember feeling nervous at all just excited. It took forever to get checked in. I guess alot of people get checked in on Monday mornings. We got inthe room about 8:30 and then ALL the nursecame in. There's a nurse for me, Liam and the anastegiologist but some others. They were just doing all the checks - IV, questions etc. They started the ball rolling at about 9am. The process was pretty uneventful. We (I should say I - Chase did not) watched Mamma Mia. My parents were there and my MIL, my brother came by for a few minutes. Justlots of talking (no baby could stop me from talking) - I also took pictures of everybody.
Everybody (but Chase) left about 2ish and we took a nap. The nurse (which might I add I loved....she was great) came in arou
nd
4ish because the contraction monitor fell an
d l
ow and
behold I was almost ready to go. (note - the dr guess this was going to be long labor).

After lots of laughs (an EMT student coming in name Blake
- me thinking it was my BIL, me watching the weather while pushing) we welcome our baby boy at 5:44pm.

He weight 8lbs 1 oz and was 19 inches long. The big shock (at least for me) is that he had blonde hair. You have to love the screaming first picture :) We went upto our room where EVERYBODYwas (mom, dad, Sean, Missy, Ashlyn, Allison, Blake, Debbie, Easy and KK) The rest of the days at the hospital were fun, exciting, joyful and exhausting.

On Wed June 30 we broke out of the hospital (ok we were released but it felt like breaking free)
